In Tashkent, during the night of February 28 to March 1, a group of teenagers who performed dangerous high-speed maneuvers in a Lacetti car without state license plates has been identified and detained by law enforcement agencies. The incident escalated into an open confrontation with police officers.

The investigation has revealed two active participants in the offense: Amirxon Safarboyev, born in 2007, and Muhammad Aziz Umurzoqov, born in 2009. A criminal case has been initiated against them under Part 2 of Article 219 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan (“Resistance to a representative of authority or a person performing a civic duty”). Both individuals have been detained in accordance with Article 221 of the Criminal Procedure Code (“Grounds for detention”). One of the detainees publicly admitted guilt, stating he was in a state of shock, and apologized for the damage and inconvenience caused. They face penalties ranging from 3 to 5 years of restriction or deprivation of liberty.

The third participant in the incident, Asilbek Astanov, born in 2009, has currently been placed in a Center for Social and Legal Assistance for Minors. His actions will also undergo legal assessment as the investigation proceeds. Procedural actions are ongoing, and upon completion of the investigation, a final legal decision will be made.
