Uzbek athlete Artur Guliev has claimed victory at the second stage of the ICF Canoe Sprint World Cup in Brandenburg, Germany, winning the gold medal in the C1 200 meters final.

The 28-year-old canoeist clocked 00:38.44 seconds, outpacing Spain's Pablo Grana (00:38.63) and Russia's Sergey Svinarev (00:39.09), who took silver and bronze respectively.

The competition runs from May 14 to 17, featuring 854 athletes from 60 countries across five continents. A total of 243 races are scheduled over four days, with 36 medal sets at stake: 24 in canoe sprint and 12 in paracanoe.

Participants are vying for ranking points and qualification for the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games in Los Angeles.
