An inspection at a retail outlet in the city of Jizzakh has revealed that some children's toys manufactured in China fail to meet safety requirements. Consequently, measures have been taken to withdraw the products from sale and halt their distribution.

Specialists from the territorial branch of the Technical Regulation Inspectorate and the Department of Sanitary and Epidemiological Welfare and Public Health conducted the inspection, collecting samples of children's toys for laboratory testing.

The test results showed that some toys emit a strong odor, their protective coating is not moisture-resistant, small parts are loosely attached, the items cannot withstand mechanical stress, and formaldehyde levels exceed permissible limits.

Experts note that formaldehyde can negatively affect children's respiratory tracts, eyes, and skin, and may exacerbate allergic reactions. Additionally, easily detachable small parts pose a risk of ingestion or injury to children.

Based on these findings, warning letters have been sent to the retail outlets, and appropriate measures have been taken to remove the products from sale.
