As of January 1, 2026, the average age of Uzbekistan's population stood at 29.5 years, according to a statement by the press service of the National Statistics Committee on its Telegram channel.
The highest average age was recorded in Tashkent city at 32.7 years, followed by Bukhara region (31.1 years), Tashkent region (31 years), Navoi region (30.1 years), and Fergana region (30 years).
In the Republic of Karakalpakstan, the average age was 29.8 years. Andijan and Khorezm regions each reported 29.5 years, while Namangan region stood at 29 years.
Regions below the national average include Syrdarya (28.7 years), Samarkand (28.5 years), Jizzakh (28.4 years), Kashkadarya (27.7 years), and Surkhandarya (27.4 years).
Thus, the highest average age was recorded in the capital, while the lowest was in Surkhandarya region.
