The Central Bank of Uzbekistan has released data on the state of the country's payment infrastructure as of June 1, 2026. According to the report, 73.6 million bank cards are in circulation, and the volume of receipts through payment terminals in the first five months of the year reached 256.8 billion soums.

The regulator reported that over 445,000 payment terminals and nearly 46,500 ATMs and infokiosks have been installed across the republic.

Xalq bank issued the most bank cards with 11.8 million, followed by Uzum Bank (6.8 million), Agrobank (6.7 million), Ipoteka-bank (5.6 million), and Hamkorbank (4.9 million).

Hamkorbank leads in the number of payment terminals with about 65,000 devices. Milliy bank ranks second with 42,000 terminals, and Xalq bank third with 34,000.

In terms of ATMs and infokiosks, Xalq bank tops the list with 3,132 units, followed by Agrobank (1,823) and Kapitalbank (1,664).

The largest volume of receipts through terminals in January–May was recorded at Aloqabank with 28.4 billion soums. Milliy bank followed with 21.6 billion soums, and TBC Bank with 17 billion soums. Other leaders include Ipoteka-bank, Hamkorbank, Ipak Yo‘li Bank, and Xalq bank.

Digital banks continue to show high performance with minimal physical infrastructure. TBC Bank achieved a turnover of over 17 billion soums with only 40 terminals and one ATM. Uzum Bank processed 13.7 billion soums in transactions without owning a network of payment terminals.

Earlier, it was reported that Uzbekistan may abolish fees for transfers between own bank cards.
