Sanat Shakirovich Jumaniyazov, who previously worked in the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan, has been confirmed as the governor (hokim) of Yangiyol district in Tashkent region. This was reported by the regional administration's press service.

On July 14, an extraordinary session of the district Council of People's Deputies was held. During the session, regional governor Zoir Mirzaev delivered a critical analysis of the implementation of tasks for the socio-economic development of the district.

Following the report, Odiljon Ataullaev, who had served as district governor since August 2023, was dismissed from his post. Previously, Mirzaev had criticized the situation in the district, stating that “Yangiyol district became a 'champion' in burning fields freed from grain. Yields are also below the plan.”

Additionally, at the end of 2024, 14 governors in Uzbekistan received reprimands for shortcomings in preparing for the winter season, and Odiljon Ataullaev was among them.

It is worth noting that on the same day, Narimonjon Ismoilov, previously director of the “Navoi Industrial Development Complex,” was appointed governor of Bekabad city in Tashkent region.
