A new park called Vatanparvar has opened in Samarkand, already hailed as one of the city's most notable attractions.

The park's main highlight is the tallest Ferris wheel in Central Asia, offering panoramic views of both ancient and modern Samarkand.

The project cost approximately $10 million and covers 7 hectares, with infrastructure designed to accommodate over a thousand visitors simultaneously.

In addition to rides, the park features walking areas, family recreation zones, and entertainment spaces. The opening of Vatanparvar has created about 150 new jobs.

The new park is expected to become a popular leisure destination and another bright spot on Samarkand's tourist map.

Earlier, it was reported that nine districts of the capital would get new public parks totaling 139.6 hectares. The projects will be implemented in stages and protected from any further construction by a special conservation status.
