Two cases of illegal electricity use have been discovered in the Sharof Rashidov district of the Jizzakh region during an inspection, the press service of Uzenergoinspection reported.

In the first case, water pumps belonging to an enterprise were illegally connected to the power grid. Preliminary estimates indicate that 315.5 million UZS worth of electricity was consumed without authorization.

A more significant violation was found at a farm, where pumps also operated without permission. The damage from illegal electricity use is estimated at over 3.03 billion UZS.

Control inspections are underway regarding the identified violations. Earlier, major cases of illegal electricity use were discovered in the Kashkadarya region.
