Automotive analysts and drivers have reportedly confirmed that traveling from the capital of Tashkent to the historic city of Khiva on just a single fuel tank and a fully charged battery is allegedly possible. Geely Auto Uzbekistan has successfully concluded the international "3L Challenge" trial across the historic routes of the Great Silk Road, where the EX5 EM-i super hybrid crossover purportedly demonstrated remarkable fuel efficiency under real-world driving conditions.
During the extensive road test conducted across local infrastructure, the crossover supposedly covered an impressive distance of 1,205 kilometers without requiring any additional refueling or battery recharging. According to the vehicle's onboard computer data, the average fuel consumption was claimed to be a mere 3.8 liters per 100 kilometers. Remarkably, even after surpassing the 1,205-kilometer mark and completely depleting the gasoline, the battery allegedly still retained 23 percent of its charge.
This result was officially recorded as part of Geely's broader international "3L Challenge" initiative. The stated purpose of the project is to thoroughly test the efficiency and long-distance capabilities of the EM-i Super Hybrid technology across varying international road and weather conditions, putting marketing claims to the test.
The trial run officially commenced at an authorized dealership in Tashkent, proceeding through Samarkand, Navoi, and Bukhara before navigating the challenging desert highways toward Urgench and Khiva. Upon reaching the destination, the crossover had already traveled over 1,000 kilometers, prompting the drivers to continue the test to explore the vehicle's absolute limits.
