In Tashkent, planned works to improve the condition and capacity of the street-road network continued on March 2. The measures are being carried out considering weather conditions and aim to ensure traffic safety and efficient organization of traffic flows.
According to the Tashkent administration, as part of the current repairs, road surface milling is being performed on an area of 7,002 sq. m. Works are underway in Bektemir District on Okhanguzar Street, in Mirabad District on Bonakatiy Street, in Almazar District on Chimbay Street, in Sergeli District on the 4th Kushkurgan Passage, in Shaykhantakhur District on Khironi, Bedil Streets and the 2nd Uchkurgan Passage, in Yunusabad District on Baraka Street, in Yakkasaray District on Sirojiddinov Street, as well as on the central streets of Furkat, Bobur, and Buyuk Ipak Yuli.
Asphalt paving is being conducted on an area of 3,899 sq. m in Yangihayot District on Dustlik, Qurg'ontepa, and Chinor Streets, as well as on the central streets of Buyuk Ipak Yuli and Qarasoray.
The capital administration also reported that 4,000 meters of horizontal road markings have been applied on Osiye and Maxtumquli Streets. The works were carried out at night—from 00:00 to 06:00.
Additionally, 14 new road signs have been installed on Buyuk Ipak Yuli, Muqimiy, Bobur, Nukus, Sebzor, and Labzak Streets, with 51 signs replaced.
Works on implementing an intelligent traffic regulation system are ongoing. Earthworks are being conducted at the intersections of Qatortol – Tahtapul and Qatortol – 1st Qatortol Passage. Cable installation works are being carried out at the intersection of Chuponota and Hamkorbank Streets.
On Farobiy Street, asphalt cutting has been performed at several points. Traffic light equipment has been installed at the intersection of Lutfi and Chuponota Streets.
In Mirzo Ulug'bek District on Buyuk Ipak Yuli Street, the condition of manholes has been studied in collaboration with utility services, works on installing curbs have begun, and road signs at intersections with Mirishkor, Zaytun, and Shurtepa Streets have been updated.
Also, at the intersection with Shukur Burhonov Street, works to update a bus stop have begun. The old structure will be temporarily relocated.
