The Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan held a telephone conversation with the Foreign Minister of Saudi Arabia, Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud.

As reported by the head of the foreign policy department on his Telegram channel, the sides discussed the tense situation in the region and its potential implications for security and economic stability amid recent events in the Middle East.

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev expressed words of solidarity with the leadership and people of Saudi Arabia, which were conveyed to the Saudi side during the conversation.

"They emphasized the importance of de-escalation, confidence-building measures, and intensifying diplomatic efforts," the statement said.
