The Jiaxing Nanyang Polytechnic Institute in China has reportedly discussed the implementation of two- and three-year educational programs targeting students from Uzbekistan. The initiative supposedly involves financial backing from the Chinese side, with the planned curriculum covering high-tech sectors such as artificial intelligence, new energy, and engineering.
According to the 'Dunyo' news agency, diplomats from the Consulate of Uzbekistan in Shanghai held a meeting with the institute's vice-rector, Liwei Feng, during a working trip to Zhejiang province. The negotiations allegedly addressed academic exchanges, long-term educational tracks for Uzbek youth, and short-term professional development courses for both students and faculty members.
The discussions also placed significant emphasis on practical training components. Under the proposed arrangements, students from Uzbekistan are expected to gain professional experience at leading manufacturing enterprises, medical facilities, and transportation hubs in the city of Jiaxing. Furthermore, the Chinese side has purportedly expressed readiness to send a delegation led by Liwei Feng to Uzbekistan in November 2026 to formalize agreements and discuss cooperation mechanisms with local technical schools.
