A gas explosion occurred in an apartment building in Kokand, Fergana Region. According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, on February 25 at 14:47, a report was received about a flash in a building in the "Buston" neighborhood. The explosion was followed by a fire, which almost completely destroyed an apartment on the second floor. Neighboring apartments were also damaged.

Rescue units quickly arrived at the scene. Measures are currently being taken to extinguish the fire. The situation is reported to be under control. Latest information indicates no reports of casualties.

Emergency service personnel continue work to eliminate the consequences of the incident. Note that nine days ago, on February 16, a gas explosion also occurred in a residential building in Kokand, resulting in one fatality.
