The founder of Garden Catering Trade, a company that supplied food to kindergartens in Fergana where a mass poisoning of children occurred, has changed. As of February 25, Moydinjon G'ofurov is listed as the founder, whereas on February 24 it was Iqboljon Bozorov.

G'ofurov also holds shares in companies such as Grand Super Montaj and Space Travel Rides Park. The company's head, Shavkat Turdaliyev, is a founder or co-founder of firms including Yangiqo’rg’on Fayz Qurilish and Delight Sale.

On February 21, 62 children from three kindergartens in Fergana were hospitalized with "acute diarrhea." Three are in intensive care, with their condition stable. A criminal case has been initiated.

The newspaper found that the regional administration selected the company in violation of procurement laws. The Anti-Corruption Agency reported that warnings were ignored and the company received preferential treatment in tenders.

The company gained the right to supply food to kindergartens in the region in 2024 under a decision by regional head Khairulla Bozorov as part of an "experiment." At the time of the decision, the company was only one month old. A Ministry of Preschool Education inspection revealed non-compliance with sanitary standards.

The Committee for Competition Development issued an instruction to cancel the head's decision, but it was not revoked. The Anti-Corruption Agency also identified violations, but the administration provided only a "formal response."

Despite the violations, the company continued operations and signed contracts worth over 100 billion soums without tenders.

Recall that in September 2025, over 1,000 children from state kindergartens in Tashkent Region were hospitalized with poisoning symptoms; investigation results have not yet been disclosed.
