The leader of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, is scheduled to pay an official working visit to Turkmenistan from October 7 to 9 at the invitation of Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, according to the press service of the Uzbek administration. The trip aims to foster regional dialogue and multilateral cooperation.
During the visit, the Uzbek leader supposedly plans to participate in the 8th consultative meeting of the heads of state of Central Asia and Azerbaijan, to be held in the 'Avaza' national tourist zone, as well as the upcoming summit of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS). These platforms serve as a venue for discussing pressing regional and international issues.
The agenda of the consultative meeting allegedly covers the strengthening of political and diplomatic ties, the deepening of trade and economic cooperation, and the expansion of energy partnerships. Furthermore, participants are expected to address joint measures concerning environmental protection, climate change adaptation, and cultural, educational, and youth exchanges.
Additionally, the CIS Council of Heads of State meeting is set to summarize the outcomes of multilateral cooperation and outline priorities for future collaboration. The events are expected to conclude with the signing of several joint documents alongside bilateral meetings between the participating delegations.
