The criminal case regarding the mass poisoning of children in kindergartens in Tashkent Region, which occurred in September 2025, has been transferred to the Bukhara District Court for Criminal Cases. This was announced by Aziz Abidov, press secretary of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Eleven individuals will face trial, including managers and technical staff of companies involved in the production and supply of products and services for preschool institutions. Previously, seven suspects had been detained.

The accused include executives, technologists, and employees of Shark Milk Product, as well as directors of outsourcing organizations Governess Business, Kinder Garden Group, Innavation Outsourcing Service, and Nishon Invest.

According to the court, the defendants are charged under Article 186, Part 4(b) of the Criminal Code (production and sale of goods or provision of services that do not meet safety requirements, resulting in severe consequences) and Article 257-1, Part 1 (violation of sanitary legislation or epidemic control rules).

Ten suspects have been remanded in custody, while one is under house arrest. The scheduling of the trial is currently being determined.

Aziz Abidov stated, citing the indictment, that the investigation found that the management and employees of Shark Milk Product, operating at a facility in Akkurgan District, did not fully comply with sanitary legislation requirements, directives from the Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan, and food safety standards.

According to the investigation's version, the suspects acted in collusion with officials from outsourcing companies that supplied dairy and other products to 123 state kindergartens in Pskent, Akkurgan, Bukhara, Kuyichirchik, and Bekabad districts of Tashkent Region.
