The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan has initiated an operation to assist citizens returning from Iran via Turkmenistan. The embassy in Ashgabat has enhanced coordination with Turkmen authorities and colleagues in Tehran.

The main gathering point will be the city of Serakhs on the Turkmen-Iranian border, where diplomats will receive citizens. Embassy vehicles have been mobilized for transport and escort.

For assistance, contacts of responsible persons in Turkmenistan are provided: Jasur Ashurov (+993 64 78-04-44), Jamshid Buriev (+993 64 99-34-58), Jasur Akhmedov (+993 62 20-49-56).

Under President Shavkat Mirziyoyev's directive, Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov is ensuring the return of citizens from Persian Gulf states.

Due to the military situation in the Middle East, Uzbekistan is also organizing repatriation from Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and other countries. Uzbekistan Airways will operate repatriation flights on the Jeddah-Tashkent route starting March 2.

The MFA advises citizens abroad to monitor information from local authorities and diplomatic missions, register with consulates, and keep embassy contacts handy.
