In the capital of Uzbekistan, the development of a foundational document that will shape the city's transport landscape for decades has begun. The Tashkent City Administration and the Road Traffic Organization Center announced the start of a bidding process to create a transport master plan for the city, with a planning horizon until 2045.

The launch of the Request for Proposals (RFP) procedure follows the announcement on February 27 by the Head of the Presidential Administration, Saida Mirziyoyeva, about the start of the practical phase of modernizing the capital's transport system. Previously, a strategy to combat traffic congestion and enhance control over public transport operations was presented at the Road Traffic Organization Center.

Potential developers are required to prepare a comprehensive strategic document that meets strict technical specifications and has passed a comprehensive due diligence questionnaire (DDQ). The project must propose systemic solutions for the growing metropolis, taking into account construction dynamics and increasing vehicular traffic.
