President Shavkat Mirziyoyev announced a series of significant social support measures during a meeting with culture and arts workers. Starting this year, 1,000 poets, writers, cultural figures, museum employees, and artists will receive compensation covering 50% of the down payment for mortgage loans to purchase housing.
Workers from creative organizations and cultural institutions who relocate from other regions will have their rental costs covered: up to 2.5 million soums per month in Tashkent and up to 1.6 million soums in the regions.
In healthcare, substantial benefits are introduced. Annually, 1,000 workers who achieve good results in their field will receive free treatment funded by the State Medical Insurance Fund. Another 2,000 creative workers will be provided with a state medical insurance package. Employees with at least 10 years of service will receive free sanatorium vouchers.
Starting June 15, individuals with high honorary titles such as People's Artist, People's Poet, and People's Writer will be able to use VIP lounges at airports and train stations free of charge.
To support song and dance ensembles, salaries of all their employees will be doubled from September 1. For dance masters, the required dance experience for a pension is reduced from 20 to 15 years, with the remaining 5 years allowed to be completed as a ballet master, tutor, or teacher.
The President proposed building a Dance Palace next to the Maqom Center under construction in New Tashkent. Officials have been tasked with developing a comprehensive program for the development of dance art.
The system of financing and material incentives for composers and bastakors will be completely revised. Annually, they will receive state orders to create at least 20 new works in classical and modern genres such as opera and symphony.
It was also emphasized that national music and songs should constantly be played at airports, train stations, metro stations, parks, large retail and service facilities, cafes, and restaurants.
